Looking for information about my grandfather

I am looking for information concerning my grandfather.
I know very little about him.

We were always told he was an Irish orphan that was sent to the middle USA to be adopted. We were led to think that this was not a singular incident, but that he was sent as part of a group of orphans.

I have recently discoverd that during the late 1800s and through the mid 1900s, many orphans of immigrant parents that were living on the streets of New York were sent to the middle USA to be adopted or to work on rural farms. These orphans numbered in the thousands.

Here is all that I know about my grandfather:

His name was Edward Monroe Fuller.

He lived most of his life in Southern Illinois.

He was married to Zella Stapleton. Zella had at least two brothers, Ralph and Paul.

Edward and Zella had four children, Ralph Monroe (deceased) Ralph had several children, but the only one I am familiar with was a son named Larry. Lee Roy, (deceased), better known as Jack. Jack had one daughter named Jeanette. I believe Jeanette may still be living in the East St Louis area. Edward and Zella had a son that died in infancy. They also had a daughter, my mother, Dorothy (no middle name) although for most of her life, Mom thought her middle name was Mae.

My grandfather, Edward, was in the military, most likely the Army. He served in a war, Most likely WW1. He was a border guard.

Edward Fuller died in an accident when my mother was three years old. He was working on a bridge in Cairo Illinois when he fell off the bridge and died as a result. Possible time was in 1927. He was buried in Lindsay, (or) Lindsey Cemetary on Grape Vine Trail in McClure Illinois.

He had a dark complexion and dark curly hair.

I would be interested in talking to anyone who might have known him or know about the accident that he died in. Or any relatives from my mother's side of the family.I would particularly be interested in talking to Jeanette, my cousin or any of the children of my uncle Ralph Monroe Fuller or their descendants.

Please contact me with any information

My parents Clyde Virgil and Dorothy Fuller Dunn had ten children. Five boys and five girls.

As of Today-----

I came here today because I was trying out Twitter. I found I all ready had a blogger account that I had completely forgotten about. I never was very good at keeping a diary or journal.

My day to day life is not very interesting.

When I finally was able to access my blog, I realized I had not added anything in three years. I had written about the pending birth of my son's daughter. Well, not only is she turning 3 on December 25th, but she has a little brother now. Elias will be turning 2 on January 3rd.

I promise to do better at blogging this time around
